i've really been distracted lately. i haven't really pulled off blogging everyday about family traditions and memories like i'd hoped. the way i see it, there are still 8 days left to do it, so we'll see where it goes.
ever since i watched oprah yesterday life has felt just a little different for me. have you seen
this story of stephanie nielson? her and her husband were severely burned in a plane crash over a year ago. i remember hearing about it, but that is about it. after watching oprah yesterday i immediately looked up stephanie's blog called
nienie dialogues. i'm fascinated and so inspired by her. i couldn't stop reading about her life and looking at all her pictures. which once again reminded me that i need a new camera.
nie is a stay at home mother of 4 and 29 years old. she had 3 kids by age 23. she's mormon. her and her husband live in arizona but she longs to live in utah where she is from. she is an amazing photographer ... or just has a really good camera. the pictures she takes of her kids playing outside amaze me. the mountains in the background are breathtaking. i wonder what it would be like to have that outside your window.
the most amazing part about her story to me is that she blogged long before this accident. you can read posts days before it happened that take your breathe away. her family had the most beautiful portraits made weeks before the crash. she talks about her love for her husband. i loved reading about the simple things her and her family do. she threw her kids a dinner party the night before their first day of school. she loves to make homemade pizza on saturdays. they have family cookouts and make s'mores in their backyard over a bonfire. it just seems so simple yet she struggles with so much because of the crash.
i hope you'll visit
nienie's blog and be inspired to live and love.
that's how it's inspired me.
