motivate me monday!

i'm really nervous about my motivate me monday this week. i'm nervous because it means that i'm going to have to read the same book all week until it is finished. and it's not really just that. setting a goal to read a book in 5 days is unheard of ... to me, at least. for some reason i've always wanted to be a "reader". i love the idea of buying new exciting books to read. i read about 30 pages and then they're on the shelf never to be looked at again. this week i hope to crush that habit. for this week at least!

so this book i've had since probably november and i think i've read about 80 pages. and there's 300. that means i need to read about 50 pages a day. my stomach is churning just thinking about it.

i found out about girl meets god through a pastor at our church. it's a memoir of a of a girl in her late 20s who becomes a christian after being a jew all of her life. her dad is jewish and mom was raised southern baptist. it's been very interesting so far, at least from what i remember. here's hoping it's a quick read!
