when i was in college, my friends mom always spoiled us with the best treats. every year at mardi gras she would send us a king cake from only the best place in new orleans (i'll have to get back to you on the name). whenever she came to visit or we went to visit her, she made us the most amazing desserts like caramel cake and this sinful chocolate cake i'm about to tell you about. it's so light, fluffy and moist that you seriously cannot have just one piece. the temptation to eat a slice whenever you pass it by in unbearable. you're gonna love it! this is the perfect dessert for a mother's day celebration.
chocolate chip pound cake
1 box yellow cake mix
1 box instant chocolate pudding
1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. vegetable oil
3/4 c. water
4 eggs
8 oz. sour cream
6 oz. chocolate chips
combine first 3 ingredients. add in oil, water, eggs, and sour cream. mix well. stir in chocolate chips. pour in bundt pan and bake for 1 hour on 350. and the best part ... sprinkle with powdered sugar once cooled. mmm mmm!

gah, it is so good!! i wish i was eating that right about now!
