like i was saying ...

so the mums didn't turn out to be exactly the color i had envisioned, but they are quite stunning!
they're two toned. the petals are light pink on the outside and yellow towards the inside.
i'm not sure that i've ever seen a mum of this color.

and you'll never believe who comments on my mums everyday ... that's right, mr. hester.
i told him they would make us happy! they're such a delight to see.

would you believe me if i told you that he's discussed growing mums?
he'd "like to look into it and see when planting begins" ... never a dull moment.

this weekend we're revving up for webb's first official grove experience.


i am a little anxious considering that he's walking all over the place and refuses to hold my hand.
thankfully i believe we can set up a human wall around the tent with whoever is willing and able to participate.
surely together we can block the little guy.

well i'm off to make webb's shirt for the weekend. yes, i said "make".
okay really it's more of an applique.
i had the cutest outfit ready for him to wear this weekend but it's corduroy.
not really meant for 70 degree weather.
we'll see how this little project of mine turns out.
hopefully better than the mummy costume!
