oh me ....

if you've been wondering what me and the wild man have been up to lately,
this photo taken in the grove a couple of weeks ago pretty much explains it.

wow! when i was told repeatedly "once he starts walking things will really change" ... it was no joke.
last night i almost broke ... down.
thankfully the Lord already knew what was in store and right after webb had his first major tantrum and casey got home, i had a prayer meeting to go to at church. i was spared!
it was the encouragement of three sweet friends and some good prayer time that helped me through.

this week has honestly made me wonder how people have multiple children. and so close!
i guess some people are wired that way. maybe i'm just not.
maybe my child is just one of the tough cases.
the interesting thing is whenever he's not with me, everyone says he's so sweet, such an angel.
i know, typical ... right?

casey's mom tells us that webb reminds her of casey when he was this age.
i think he pretty much felt like he ruled the roost.
you probably get my point.
just scroll back up and take another look at the picture.

is this just the beginning?
the beginning of all the emotions that come with raising a child.
wishing that they would do what you said.
teaching them right from wrong and hoping that they will make the right decision.
i think my worrier self is going to have to take a couple of steps back.
i'm just thankful that i was raised to rely on the Lord!

i guess this is just another stage, another adjustment, and another time to be patient and pray.
and another time i wish my mom was here.
who else can you call whenever, who will love you no matter what, have the best advice and just listen.
and the biggest part to me ... you don't feel like you're imposing.
i hate to impose.

  1. Lauren, You can call me anytime. I know its not always easy raising children. Just when you think you are going to go crazy, they do the sweetest thing. And, then, you start over.
    Love you,
