how i did this chalkboard wall.
here's a quick and easy tutorial.
first, i sanded the wall with a hand sander and a little sandpaper to make sure it was smooth.

then, i taped off the area i wanted to paint with painter's tape.

i took my foam roller ...

... and rolled it in my coffee colored chalkboard paint from home depot.
i painted two coats.
picking out the color was the best part.
there's like 12 choices!
pink, teal, you name it.

then 4 days later i conditioned the wall by rubbing chalk all over it and letting it sit.
then i rubbed it off after a day or so.
it was a little bit of a process, but a super easy one.
total cost = $25
(we already had the sander and sand paper)
