but i've loved it.
i love staying busy.
webb is on "spring break" this week so we were in chattanooga for a couple of days.
actually before i go onto that, let me go back to two weekends ago ...
so weekend before last was my friend mary-kathryn's wedding in oxford.
casey's mom and stepdad watched webb for the weekend and we got to stay in a hotel on the square in oxford.
it was so fun!
on top of the weekend being filled with lots of wedding activities, it was a nice little getaway for me and casey.
even despite the fact that casey passed out at the cocktail party on friday night right after one of my friends did.
(i didn't mention this last week, i know. it was REALLY bizarre!)
anyways, everyone is fine and they think it was the result of a neurotoxic shellfish poisoning from oysters.
thankfully casey was okay the rest of the weekend and we still got to enjoy the festivities.
here we are at the wedding.
it was the only good picture from the weekend.
it was the only good picture from the weekend.
this past weekend my dad watched webb for a night while casey and i went to hot-lanta!
such a wonderful little break ... two weekends in a row!
last month dad mentioned that if we ever wanted to go to atlanta for the night he would watch webb.
we jumped at the opportunity because we've been dying to go to IKEA and we just got our tax refund. cha-ching!!
we went to chattanooga friday night, got boo situated and headed south early saturday morning.
our first stop was IKEA, of course.
we had a list ... which was definitely a good thing because everyone kept telling us how overwhelming it would be.
i'd been getting pointers all week and ideas on what to buy.
my sister-in-law told us about their pillows.
casey tested them out for us.
(p.s. - one of the BEST purchases!)
(p.s. - one of the BEST purchases!)
after IKEA we went to nuevo laredo and had the most amazing margaritas, fresh salsa, and shrimp tacos.
it's a must that you go there if ever in atlanta! it's not fancy mexican though, just the best mexican i've ever had!
be warned there's always a wait, but not at 3pm when we got there.
we stayed at the w midtown which was so fabulous!
we have a starwood amex that builds up points and allows us to stay at some really fun hotels whenever we travel ... for FREE!
casey did LOTS of research before we got the card.
it's been great for him to put work travel on and then we reap the rewards.
we hit up H&M while we were there and trader joe's for some two-buck chuck.
we've never tried it before and since tennessee doesn't sell wine in grocery stores we stocked up!
for dinner we went to the spice market at our hotel and breakfast the next day at west egg.
oh my goodness they were both so delicious!!
my friend from college, laura, and her mom even met us for breakfast which was such a fun treat.
i tell ya, you can do a lot in 24 hours without a little fella tugging at your pants.
casey in the lobby at the w.
i forgot to take more pictures of the weekend ...
so what did webb do while we were in atlanta?
made grandaddy mike climb the driveway, the stairs, and go round and round
and in and out of the cars again and again and again!
dad said it was the "battle of the wills".
webb wanted to do one thing and dad the other.
story of my life :)
they had lots of fun!
more posts on our ikea trip coming soon ...

i spy a rug that i got at ikea too! great minds think alike!!
ReplyDeletei can't wait to see what the rest of that loot was!
