it's all flying by ... it's all happening so fast!
"t-bear", as i call him, is just cruising through the milestones.
i started feeding him oatmeal at 5 months.
at 6.5 months he's eating all kinds of stuff.
he hasn't disliked anything!
he even ate avocado which webb was not a fan of.
just this past week he started waving and crying "mama"!
i was totally shocked.
i think he's a little early.
it's the sweetest thing.
the crying "mama" just makes me melt.
he's sitting up pretty well on his own.
not the sturdest fella just yet but i can tell he's on his way.
he's rolling all over the floor.
yesterday i saw him dig one foot into the floor trying to take off towards webb.
webb didn't crawl until 2 weeks before his first bday.
so we'll see how this plays out.
webb was a little behind on things ... townes doesn't seem to be.
townes is the sweetest baby ... so happy,so content.
i hate to go on and on about it but after all this blog is about my family so might as well :)
it's all coming back to me about how sweet webb was as a baby.
i've been hearing all the sames things i heard with webb.
"so it is possible", "did you read a book", "does he ever cry", "he's the perfect baby".
all i say in response is ... it's the Lord!!
it's nothing i've done.
i feel so incredibly grateful!
on another note, i'm finally easing back into soy and dairy.
i'm trying to limit it though because i feel strongly it's the key to keeping weight off!
so in other words "i'm weaning".
now i will say that all these years when people have spoken about bonding with their child and breastfeeding i've always thought "bonding smonding".
whatever ... i just listen to them, smile and nod my head.
i've never enjoyed nursing.
but now that it's coming to an end i have the strangest emotion about it.
i didn't really have to quit but a number of things lead me to the decision.
i can't believe i'm sad this time will end.
i know i'm making the right decision.
who knew it would be such a tough one ... i feel like a crazy person for saying that! or like i'm brainwashed.
by the time i'm done i will have made it 7 months.
i feel like i deserve a pat on the back and some kind of reward!!
it was work. but well worth it.
and then there is this guy ...
he's gotten into baking.
this is a pic from some yummy zucchini muffins we made last week.
(recipe to come)
and last night he helped me make cornbread.
things have gotten a little tough around here since townes has become "interactive".
webb steps on t, "tickles" him which is really scratching him,
just last week i walked in the playroom and webb had a hold of townes ankles and was dragging him across the floor.
i don't leave them alone together for more than a minute.
i feel like i've become a referee.
everyone to your corners!
the fun things webb has been doing lately is recounting his experiences.
they're always in play-by-play format.
"i got my shoes on, i got in the car, i go to home depot and i drink milk!"
there's always so much excitement in that last word.
my favorite thing he does is say his "l's" like a "y".
almost like they do in spanish.
bayon for ballon,
yion for lion
yittle for little.
he's so curious.
i love how he says "oh" before a lot of his sentences.
he hear's townes cry ... "oh! let me go check on townes".
he says everything i say ... "i'll be right back", "give me just a minute", "we gotta hurry".
all those combined make me sound like i'm so busy.
i'm so busy making myself busy!
(that's something i'm working on changing p.s.)
he's turning into my little buddy and it's been really sweet.
the crying meltdowns are still rampid, but what do you expect from an almost 3 year old?
