it's been a crazy couple of weeks.
casey and i celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary with a little "staycation" in nashville.
it was a low key 24 hours of trying out some restaurants we hadn't been to,
drinking champagne, shopping and i can't believe it ... exercising!
our life has really been changing now that we have 2 little ones. :)
thanks vicki and jimmy for staying with the boys!
we also celebrated casey's birthday which was even more low key but that didn't bother him one bit
because he finally got the ipad he's been talking about for well over a year.
on the house news ...
we've had a number of realtors preview the house, one showing and a promising prospect who's coming back tomorrow to take another look.
we're about to put the house on the mls (we're still doing it fsbo) so hoping that will get this party started!
i'm excited but nervous!
i think i've given this thing to the Lord finally.
not positive, but i stressed too long about it and i think i've finally surrendered.
it's a good place to be.
webb started preschool last week.
can't believe they call it preschool, but it really is different then the mdo he's been attending the past years.
this year he's learning the pledge of allegiance, memorizing bible verses, learning all kinds of things that i'm really excited about.
he LOVES it and i can already see that he seems "older and wiser" .. haha!
here's some attempts at a first day pictures.
he wasn't having it.
he thought it was funny to run from me :)
i've gotten some more time with t now that webb is in school.
though last week i felt like i drug him all over nashville running errands.
today was much more low key and made me excited about the year ahead having mommy and t time.
the question i always get asked is "are webb and townes personalities the same or different?"
for all you who knew webb as a baby, this will answer your question.
no way .. so different!
webb would have never climbed into any kind of danger.
he was so cautious.
t isn't wild and crazy or anything, but he is definitely on the move and adventurous already.
it's been a tough couple of weeks thinking about my mom.
i've realized you never know when it'll hit.
after casey's mom stayed with the boys the other week casey was explaining that "kiki" was his mommy.
immediately after that webb looked at me and said,
"mommy where's your kiki?"
i had no idea the impact of those words.
you know me, i've already told him about my mom.
i don't tell him about her much, but i have more than a handful of times.
i guess with every stage of life there is new pain that will come with my mom not being here.
i'll never be able to run from it like i wish i could.
last night i had a dream that my dad took me on a trip because he said i needed a break.
(sounds amazing, right?!? ...and as dreams typically go ... we went to vegas ... so bizarre!)
while we were away i asked him "when is mom going to come meet townes, it's been 9 months."
all this to say it's weighing heavy on my heart whether i realize it or not.
one thing i'm realizing is that the Lord is tugging at my heart telling me to draw closer to Him.
i told casey on our anniversary that the most amazing blessing is that i can look back and say i made the right choice.
i have no doubt that i married my match, the man i was supposed to be with forever.
this thought never crossed my mind, in this way, until this year.
2 kids later, pain and sufferings of life and so many happy times.
we always have to remember our blessings!

thanks for sharing this.
