extra wide

aren't these the cutest shoes you've ever seen?? they're bobux. i thought i had solved our shoe dilemma when i ordered these from amazon last week. webb's chubby, thick, short little feet just cannot fit into robeez, ministars, or the standard bobux either. so i found these adorable guys with a velcro fasten and thought, issue solved! not so much.

these shoes have the same elastic band that goes across the top of the foot that all the rest of the robeez and bobux have, you just can't tell it from the picture. this elastic band is the whole reason why these shoes don't work for webb. they dig into his soft little skin and probably cut off the poor boys circulation. i know what you're thinking, he doesn't really need shoes, does he? heck, he's not even crawling! i'll just tell ya, i'm over the sock thing and everywhere i take him all his other little buddies have shoes on.

so yesterday we went to stride rite. i never imagined i would step foot in that store. (oh, that's something else i did when i should have been reading!) the lady measured his foot and said "wow! he's got some short feet for an 8 month old. i'm not sure we have anything that will fit him." she went on to tell me that when he gets to the walking stage, he'll have to get an extra wide shoe. extra wide, i said!

i still continue to search for the perfect soft soled shoe. in the meantime i'm thankful that spring is here and warm weather is right around the corner. which means, no more socks!
