a little bit about casey ... he has his own garden, doesn't like the idea of paying anyone to do work for him .. yard work, projects, even fix the cars (though he always caves on that one), and recently he has defined himself as a "minimalist". he always has new ideas for things to try out, like making homemade bread (and i'm not talking about with a bread machine) or collecting rain water to water the garden. in other words, the man wants to be self sufficient.
i tell you all of that to say, i think i got him the perfect father's day gift. a home brewing kit. now he can make his own! you may have thought i beat him to the punch on this one, but no, he mentioned it about a month ago. i just don't think he thought he would really get one!
i love going to real simple when a holiday is approaching. they've always got creative gift ideas that takes the stress out of gift giving. thanks to real simple, i found the brooklyn brew shop, and then i found this. it was perfect!
