early celebration

it's slowly approaching ... the big 3-0 will be here this weekend!

what a special birthday it's going to be because this year it falls on mother's day.

unbelievable, right?

mother's day has been pretty rough for many years past until i had webb.

how healing it is to be able to celebrate my birthday and mother's day with all three of my boys!

i'm really looking forward to the weekend!!

this past weekend we went to chattanooga for an early celebration.

townes got to meet nanny jo, my dad's mom.

he was pretty excited!

webb got to go see/ride thomas the train with grandaddy mike and mitsy at the tennessee valley railroad museum.

that little guy had the time of his life!

he was on his best behavior all weekend long.

casey and i were so proud of him.

he's really growing up!

then we got a babysitter and went to canyon grill for my birthday dinner.

it's a restaurant on the back of lookout mountain and has become my favorite!

canyon grill is one of those places that when we're there we think ... if only nashville had something like this.

but maybe it does and i just don't know about it?

amazing food, byob, and the best laid back atmosphere.

reminds me a lot of the old yocona in oxford.
