mother's day uncut

here's what my mother's day and birthday looked like. 

 

i'm so thankful for these boys, their health and the blessing they are to me.

we were pooped!
casey threw me a very fun party for the big thirty on saturday night (pictures to come!) that wiped us out.
no church, no going out to eat ...
just lots of yummy leftovers, the best birthday cake i've ever had, and cuddle time on the couch with the boys.
it was a rainy day here and was nice to relax and have no agenda.
oh and take a break from my motherly duties.

i will admit that hitting 30 and it being mother's day was a little difficult.
my heart is broken that my mom doesn't know the 3 most important people in my life that are my everything.
it makes me really sad.
i guess the pain of that will never go away and the emptiness that goes with it.
i have to constantly remind myself of my blessings ... there are SO many.

i'm so thankful for my family and sweet friends that made me feel so special on my birthday.
it definitely helped me make it through the day.
